Athletics/Student Organizations
Tindley is a college preparatory academy. Academics always come first. But we are also interested in providing our students with the extra-curricular activities that expand their horizons and round out their high school experience.
 Our Tindley Tigers compete in boy’s and girl’s basketball and track and field. We will soon start a football program. We are proud of how well our students have done in athletics, but we are even prouder that they balance their sports commitment with maintaining at least a 3.0.
Student athletes are asked and expected to act as leaders in the classrooms as well as on the court, track or playing field.
Tindley students also participate in a range of other activities, including student council, choir and gospel choir and drama. Teachers and administrators lead many of these groups. But we also encourage students and parents to initiate and coordinate activities.
